Marvelously Studded Monday
Marvelous Mondays is back again. Today's challenge was studs or spikes. When I saw what this weeks challenge was I was a little unsure of what to do. I own absolutely no clothing that has studs or spikes on it. Then I remembered this Kathy Van Zeeland Belt Shopper bag-it has studs around the "belt" of the purse. I had also last month bought the studded belt from Target for $3 and decided to wear it with this outfit-turned around backwards.
Dress: DKNY. Blazer: Torrid. Shoes: Unlisted. Purse: Kathy Van Zeeland. Necklace: Kmart. Belt: Target
The studded belt and reptile shoes really toughen this dress up. And the gold/yellow bag looks even better with it in person since the dress has little tiny yellowish spots throughout it. It almost seems like a pop of color, but really does subtly tie in.
So remember, when it comes to Mondays...Our philosophy is: Monday is nobody’s favorite day of the week, but maybe its terrible reputation is a little undeserved. We’re on a mission to make ours (and hopefully yours) a little less awful by dressing marvelously!
Don't forget to check out the other gals outfits, they are sure to be fab.

Faux Leather and Marvelous Monday
This will be my first installment of Marvelous Mondays. This is a fashion challenge between myself and several other bloggers. Our philosophy: Monday is nobody’s favorite day of the week, but maybe its terrible reputation is a little undeserved. We’re on a mission to make ours (and hopefully yours) a little less awful by dressing marvelously! Today's challenge is leather, real or faux. I chose faux.
Faux leather blazer: Torrid. Shirt: LYS. Necklace, Jeans, Belt: Fashion Bug. Boots: Lane Bryant
Although I really like this faux leather blazer I wish I would of sized down so it would of been a little more form fitting, even with it buttoned up it still has a lot of room to spare.
Be sure to check out the other ladies take on the leather challenge.

Earthy
I had school today, and I am not really sure what made me throw this outfit together, but I did. What was especially crazy about me wearing it is the fact that it was freezing rain-I seriously felt like little spikes of ice were hitting me, the wind was blowing super intense, and of course there was thunder. But in my good old fashion stubbornness I decided to wear a dress anyways even though I really just wanted to throw on jeans and a sweatshirt- oh well PERSISTENCE!
Dress: George. Vest and Stockings: LYS. Shoes: Lane Bryant. Earrings and Necklace: Old Navy. Watch: Walmart.
When I bought these stockings I thought I would love them, until I got them home and tried them on. The fit is SO strange! I can seriously-as well as literally have to-pull the waist all the way up to the bottom of my bra and I'm not quite sure why they would make the waist that long. And just to fill you in, these are not the tummy control type that work like spanks, they are this sort of fishnet pattern throughout the WHOLE thing. Anyways, I wound up not getting around to returning them, and obviously decided to give them a shot, and I still have mixed feelings. One LYS product that I was satisfied with was this vest though. All winter I would go into Kmart and see it, but wasn't trying to drop the $50 on it. Then I went in one day and it was $15, which is a price I love so much better!
I actually took the time to blow dry my hair straight and look what happens immediately: wind, rain, and FRIZZ, Oh well, not much else to do. On a side note I am so sick of looking at my broken gate, definitely on the summer to do list.

Dreaming of Spring...and Dresses
It's been a while since my last post...damn the flu. Since spring is looming only shortly away, it gets me thinking about dresses; which I love. I decided to do a post on dresses I have recently viewed online while window shopping-or rather screen shopping anyways.
This one is gorgeous, and perfect for V-day. Can be purchased here.
I love this one, I know a lot of people are not fans of floral, but I always will be. Can be purchased here.
Although this is not a traditional spring type coloring or pattern, it was a very flowy feel, perfect for spring. Can be purchased here.
Another perfect dress for V-day, simply beautiful. Can be purchased here.
I love Baroque, it classic, ellegant...timeless. Can be purchased here.
This dress is like ones I have seen at Cherry Velvet, but cheaper priced. Can be purchased here.
Galaxy trend, and I love purple. Can be purchased here.
Speaking of cherry Velvet, how awesome is this dress. Love-except that I know something like this wouldn't get a huge amount of use in my wardrobe and couldn't bring myself to pay that much for it. Can be purchased here,
Last, but not least, houndstooth peplum. And I did already purchase this one. For $19.88 and 96 cent shipping I couldn't pass it up. And guess what...it's from WALMART! Since I now own this dress I will review it, hopefully sometime soon I will have a full post on it. I ordered the 4X just to be safe, and it was a good thing I did. This brand a 4X is a 22-24, it is stretchy, but had I ordered a 3x, that would of been down right tight. I noticed-after I ordered- that some of the online reviews complained about this. The color is also not a true white, some reviews said tan, but I wouldn't go that far; it's just more of an off-white. Last, and this is my fault, I thought the peplum went all the way around, it does not-as you can see if you look close to the photo above, so I was a little shocked when I got it. Besides these little issues, I actually like the dress and the price is unbeatable, especially when I have seen dresses similar and not really of better quality running up to $100.
Obviously I am drawn to prints. But hey, they are FABULOUS.
Although I am trying really hard not to buy anything, I have seriously contemplated the one above. Can be purchased here.
