Marvelous Monday on Tuesday

Although today is Tuesday, I'm doing my Marvelous Monday post today. I've been out of town and just got home today, so here it is. Yesterday's theme was to be inspired by each other-as in one of the other women who participate in Marvelous Monday. My challenge was to take inspiration from Sarah, over at The Ridiculous Sort. I'm not really sure how to verbalize Sarah's style, the best I can say is it is almost a mix of quirky, modern pieces paired with more old fashion staples: collard shirts, lots of A-line style dresses and skirts, etc. I'm not copying Sarah's style exactly, but trying to use common elements in her style/wardrobe, while still keeping it me.

I'm not really all that happy with these pictures, because I really look like crap. I was tired, have no makeup on, and my camera battery died after two shots.

Blazer: Maurices. Tank: Old Navy. Skirt: Walmart. Shoes: Payless. Necklace and Earrings: Icing. Leggings: Fashion Bug.

Be sure to check out the other ladies' posts for Inspired By. And just to put it out there, L at Goodbye, Hollywood got me.

  1. I think you did a great job with the challenge, I think you got sarah without being exactly like her. I can see her wearing something similar. :) But yeah i love the light blue/aqua color of the outfit! :)

  4. I'm not sure how to describe my style, either. Haha. I love how this turned out, though, and I might have fallen head-over-heels for both the blazer and the skirt. I mean, the funny bit is that they're both turquoise(well, shades of it), and that's my favourite colour!

  6. I really like this outfit! The blazer and the skirt are both lovely, great colors. I think you did a great job capturing Sarah's style while still sticking with your own style, too :)
