Tough

Torrid was (may still be) having a buy one, get one on clearance. Yeah, I brought my happy ass shopping. I ended up getting 3 new shirts and one pair of boots for about $50 bucks. Not too bad I got  to say. The shirt and boots are part of that deal. I really like this shirt and it is definitely not see through, but seems to of gone a little see through in the pictures with the flash. I really felt like a total bad ass in this outfit, I don't know why, but hey, it works.

I also recently colored my hair. I was buying some dye with the intentions of going dark, and noticed a bottle of pink hair dye on clearance for $3 (I really fricking love clearance), and decided for 3 bucks I don't have anything to lose. So my hair is now partially pink. I may do a review on the dye at a later time. While shopping I also decided to get some new makeup. At Sephora I bought the Nars Dual-Intensity eye shadow in Cassiopeia. This color is so amazing. It looks white, but is actually an iridescent purple, so amazing. I also got the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, which is probably one of the best liquid eyeliners I've ever used. I bought some other basics such as primers etc, but the last thing I got was that I was super thrilled about was the Too Faced Le Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream in Lollipop. I am wearing all of the products in the pictures below.

Pink Diluge

Last post was a hint of pink, this one is pink overload! I wore this to work a few days ago, and while I got many compliments, I also got a lot of "Whoa, that's a lot of pink!" lol, I don't care though, cause I love it. I don't think this is necessarily the most flattery outfit, and kind of wish that I had worn heels with it, but I was still comfortable and got to wear these oxfords again that I don't get a whole lot of use out of.  This isn't really the type of thing I would wear regularly, but I still enjoyed it for the day at least.

A Hint of Pink

These are some pictures I had taken quite a while ago with intentions of posting, but then wasn't quite happy with most of them and the one's I did like my daughter was in and had her school shirt on; I of course would prefer not to have what school she goes to on the world wide web for obvious reasons. This is just something comfy I threw on to go my daughter's swimming lessons and then a movie afterwards. We had seen No Good Deed. The movie was alright, could of been better, but it wasn't horrible either. These are some of my favorite leggings, they actually have pink running through, but you can barely tell in the pictures.

Casual Wear and a Bit of Ranting for Good Measure

Hope the new year is treating everyone well, I'm sure for most though, it has carried on the same way as before the new year. This was a casual outfit I wore today (and not so casual makeup) to go to my daughter's swimming lessons.

The bag featured below is the same one I was raving about last week, yeah, let me renege my previous comments about looking for the brand in the future as seeing how I seemed to prematurely jumped on the band wagon. This particular purse, while beautiful, is shit. It's doing the exact same thing that I've complained about Betty Johnson or Bettysville bags doing; where the the straps connect to the bag, there are small tears. I'm not one that tends to overfill my handbag to where it weighs a thousand pounds and I see absolutely no excuse for this it except for subpar quality. I've had Guess bags that have lasted YEARS, so it's definitely not me. I'm seriously tempted to contact the business, I can't be the only one who has had this happen after less that one week of using it. Anyways, end rant.

The pants are a pair of the ponte leggings I got from Lane Bryant, marked down to 19.99 and originally being $69.99. These are totally worth 20 bucks. They are thick, comfortable, and have a cute lace pattern that runs down the side. I would not, however, pay $70 for them; I don't see them being worth that much. Lately I've been having some mixed feelings about LB. While I still love the Cacique bras they carry, I feel like their prices have gone up without too much to show for it. I actually seen a 6th and Lane dress that was made out of this cheap, stretchy polyester, on clearance for over $100. It seems like quality wise as well as the sizing, has been very off this last year. They also seemed to have about a $10 jump in there standard pricing. This is one thing that I find incredibly irritating about plus size fashion. If another store had identical clothing in nonplus, the price would be half of what it is at Lane Bryant. I understand that LB is trying to elevate themselves right now with all the designer infusions, but honestly, it's not even worth it. I'm willing to pay the money if I think something is fabulous enough, but half the damn times, they are just not cutting it. Example: this Isabel Toledo dress, I had seriously considered purchasing it when it first came out for the $200. It photographs beautifully. In real life, it's a dull dress, kind of see through and thin, and just NOT worth $200 of my hard earned cash. Which is yet another one of my issues with Lane Bryant, none of my local stores carry any of the Isabel Toledo line, if I'm going to spend that much money, I want to see the product in person, not on a website. Okay, okay, end rant two.

My other accessory in is a French 75 mm field gun from World War I.

Last thing I would like to legitimately rave about because I have had ample time to review and use, are the Urban Decay palettes. I know every blogger and their mama has already been on this one (okay, I'm a late bloomer to Urban Decay), but I'm am so in love with the Naked 3 palette. I also purchased the Smoked palette a few months back (which is what I'm wearing in the pics above). The smoked palette isn't quite as great and wearable everyday as Naked 3, but it is still pretty fricking awesome.

Glittering End to 2014

Happy New Year everyone. I went out last night with my brother and one of his friends. We hit up a local bar called Jeepers Country Bar and Grill. As the name says, it is country, which isn't my normal thing, but never the less it was still pretty fun. They actually had a jello wrestling contest which was rather comical.

I have made some resolutions for 2015. They are fairly basic and it doesn't mean they will be something that I will start immediately, just thing I want to accomplish before 2015 comes to an end. First is to quit smoking for good, I think this is actually going to be the most difficult. Next, to start drinking more water; I'm horrible at drinking water. I've always had issues with migraines and being dehydrated definitely exacerbates it. My third resolution is to find a new job. And last, but not least, is to start blogging at least once a week.

I bought these pants from Lane Bryant. They were on sale for $19.99, so I bought 3 pairs. This pair with the gold beading down the side, a pair that has silver studs down the leg, and the third has lace that runs down the side. I linked a similar pair below.  The bag (even though I really didn't get a great picture of it) is so fabulous. My parent's bought it for me for Christmas. I seriously love it. I had never heard of the brand before, but will definitely be looking more for them in the future. The wedge leopard print shoes were also a gift from my parents. These shoes are super wide. Depending on the shoe, sometimes I can wear medium width, and sometimes I need wide width. These are from Torrid so they are wide width, almost verging on being too wide, that being said they are extremely comfortable and I would recommend them.
