Neutral

Jacket, Dress, Leggings, and Boots: Torrid. Belt and Necklace: Fashion Bug. Earrings: Old Navy

This dress is old, I have had it for over a year now; I just bought the boots though. I've been eyeing them online, but as I mentioned many times, I hate buying shoes online without knowing how they will fit first. I went to Torrid yesterday and seen them, tried 'em on, and they are pretty awesome-by the way, Torrid is having a BOGO 50% off. I wore them for hours today and they are comfortable enough. One thing about these boots is that they are SUPER wide calfed, not only is there massive room, but to top it off they also have one of those elastic bands that runs the inside length to add extra width if someone needed it.
I'm really hoping that I can stay home and just sleep in tomorrow, I'm feeling deliriously sleep deprived. My daughter and I have been running nonstop this week. She got her last serious of shots, and unfortunately had an allergic reaction to the chickenpox vaccine-she's doing alright though. But yeah, I think we both need a break.

Burgundy sequins

It has really seemed like a long couple of days. I am so exhausted, and I think you can tell by these last couple of blog posts, my eyes look horrible.

Blazer: Torrid. Sweater: LYS. Pants: Trip NYC. Boots: Lane Bryant. Necklace: Target.

I love her little dress. She was so excited when I had came home with it as a surprise.

Although I like this shirt, I was tempted to return do to the length. I like my shirts to be a bit longer than this, but I obviously decided to keep it. I think I paid around $15 for it. It's funny, after I got home today, I seen Torrid post a picture on Facebook of a woman wearing an almost identical outfit. So just a heads up, if you are interested in a similar shirt, you can get it either at Kmart or Torrid.

Bruised

Today my daughter had a doctor appointment, so that's what we did. She got her last set of shots, at least until she's 13 or something. That was not enjoyable, she screamed and cried. On a good note though, I just registered for my final graduate course! One more class and a comprehensive exam and I will have a grad degree.

Blazer: Beverly Drive. Pants: Tripp NYC-Torrid. Shirt: Faded Glory-Walmart. Shoes:

Picture at the Doc's pre-shots. And I am aware that I put her bow on upside down-oops.

Walmart has a ton of these shirts. Some are color blocked like this one, some have patterns, and others are solid. I was kind of surprised. They are cute and cheap. It has a gold exposed zipper down the back, I should of took a picture of it, but it didn't occur to me.

I got photo bombed by Scrappy!

Royaly Reptiled and Striped Blue

Blazer: Beverly Drive. Shirt: Faded Glory. Purse: Betsey Johnson. Jeans: Lane Bryant. Shoes: Unlisted. Necklace: Walmart

Loving the booties. I have obviously been on a reptile print kick-completely unconsciously at this point, I swear.  These are available in reptile, black, and leopard print.

This is one of those $5 gift necklaces that Walmart brings out in lots of different pendants during Christmas time. Its comes with studs, but I never use them; I would much rather the pendant be bigger   and not include earrings-just my preference though.

I found this blazer at Sears on Thanksgiving night, I guess what is being called Gray Thursday? IDK.  It's normally $44, but is on sale for $19.99. Pretty good deal if you ask me. Quality wise it is almost identical to that of Torrid blazers. I was pretty thrilled. I bought two of them, but I am kind of thinking of going back and getting two more, maybe, we'll see. They had them in blue, purple, black, red, a dark pink, and a light teal. I would be interested in acquiring the last two colors. I would recommend sizing down however. These blazer will say size 24/26, 20/22, etc. I had grabbed my normal size, tried it on and realized I needed to downsize. I walked back & got another one and proceeded to pay. When I got home I realized I replaced it with one that was the same damn size! I ended up having to make a trip back to the mall to exchange it-I was practically drowning in my normal size- along with a shoddy ass sweater that I realized the seam was completely unraveled when I got home.

Lastly this bag. Super cute, but not super quality. I got it from TJ Max for $20, which is alright. I certainly would never pay the listed price for a Betsey Johnson or Betseyville bag. They are cute and trendy, but the quality of any I have ever owned is less than spectacular.

Getting Lippy

Lately I have been on a lipstick binge, specifically for cheaply priced ones. Some of these I have had for a few months, some are brand new. FYI, I have a 4 year old who likes to get into Mommy’s makeup, so some of them are a little tore up. All with the exception of one, are Wet and Wild, in order from left to right: 511B Noueve Pink, 510A Light Beige Frost, 533B Taj Mauve Hal, NYC 305 Ruby, 522A Dark Wine, 508A Black Orchid, 552A Just Garnet, 516 Sunrise Peach, 547B Breeze. The price of these are unbeatable: Ninety-eight cents!

 .
Hand swatches. These are in the same order as above. I just couldn't quite get the lighting right between the picture on the right and the one below. the colors are actually between those two.
511 Noueve Pink: Love this color, reminds me of glossy bubblegum.

553B Taj Mauve Hal: A nice shimmering color.

508A Black Orchid: This has recently been my go-to color. I do not normally wear it how it looks in the picture however-it also appears a little more brown than in person. I wanted to show what it looks like when put directly on. I actually blot it some, and this one is great for long wear because it actually stains your lips a bit. I wore this lipstick in my last blog post.

305 Ruby, NYC: This is also one of my favs. It is so pretty, very red with hints of gold shimmer.

547B Breeze: I have been looking for a sort of true biegish/light brown shimmer, the color is one that Olay used to make and I haven’t found it in years. This color appeared to be it, until I tried it on. I like the color, just not what I was really trying to buy.

510A Light Beige Frost: I personally wouldn’t consider this beige, but this is how the color appears.

516 Sunrise Peach: I do like this color, but since it is sort of orange, it makes the teeth look similar in color, which I am not fond of.

 552A Dark Wine:

 522A Just Garnet.

Clearly I have really been into shades of red/burgundy. I need to get some more pink. Overall I am very satisfied with the lipsticks. All of the above mentioned lipsticks have a creamy consistency. One aspect of them that I enjoy is that they do not dry my lips out like some other brands I have tried.

Color blocked and Shimmer

These pictures are from a couple of nights ago. I went out to see The Man with the Iron Fists. The movie was pretty awesome, it was an effort between Eli Roth, Quentin Tarantino, and Rza of Wu Tang Clan. I don't think I've ever seen a Tarantino movie that I haven't liked.

Earrings: Target. Necklace: Fuego. Peacock Ring: Payless. Starfish Ring: Payless. Purse: Betseyville. Tank: Lane Bryant. Boots: Lane Bryant. Dress/Tunic: Faded Glory. Leggings: Torrid. The pictures below are super bad quality. There was heavy fog and a slight sprinkling of rain, so this is the best I got. Once I left the house I didn't even think about trying to take any more outfit pics.

Red and Teal

My daughter and I went to see Silent Hill: Revelation. I know it's an adult movie, but she does happen to like horror movies just like her mama. Plus there was no sex in it, so we were good there. The movie was good, and it cleared up any confusion left over from the first one. Afterwards we got cupcakes at this awesome little cupcake shop right next the theater.

Blazer: Torrid. Shirt: Lane Bryant. Earrings: Fuego. Necklace: Kmart. Jeans: Pure Energy. Shoes: Mossimo. Purse: Mossimo.

I have had this LB shirt forever, and I love it.

I have been using this purse pretty much everyday since I bought it. I've been in the habit of  not trying on jeans anywhere except ones that I have purchased before. I have such issues with finding pants that fit well. Majority of the time I try ones on they are WAY too long, or the rise is off, they are too big in the wrong places, etc. Anyways, I seen these ones at Target and really like the wash of them-they are slightly more gray than they appear in these pics, so I tried them on, and LOVED the fit. They are a tad too long, so I may hem them, or just keep them like this and wear them with my higher heels, IDK.

These heels are so cute, pointy toe, stiletto heel, but wholly crap are they are uncomfortable. I tapped out at about 4 1/2 hours of wear.

Jubilee Cupcakes, not the most flattering expression on her, but oh well the cupcakes were good. We got the Elvis- peanut butter and bananas, and a chocolate mint.

I had to have her pose with this awesome movie poster. And her outfit fits right in with the theme! lol
