Dress: Lane Bryant. Blazer: Walmart. Shoes: LEI. Belt: Torrid. Necklace: Fashion Bug. Earrings: Fuego.
My take on Alice in Wonderland, clearly was not meant to be a literal replication, but rather a more fancy, adult inspiration. I was going to put a collard shirt underneath the dress, but none of them really looked quite right; so I decided to go with a collar necklace. This dress is puffy like the one in the Disney Alice in Wonderland, which is what made me go with it. And of course Alice wears mary janes in this version. The jacket however comes from the Tweedle Twins on the Tim Burton movie. I had fully intended upon wearing a black sequined bow headband, but could not find it for the life of me!

I like your grown-up iteration! Plus the dress and blazer are fantastic pieces on their own, but they're amazing together!
ReplyDeleteThank you. This is something I probably wouldn't of put together like this, but I do like how it turned out..
DeleteYes! I was so hoping some would go all Alice. I really like your interpretation because it draws from all the different versions and yet is totally grown up and doesn't look "costumey".
ReplyDeleteI adore that jacket and the shoes are just perfect. :)
Thanks you. This as definitely an interesting challene this week.
DeleteYou look amazing! I love your Alice-inspired outfit, the dress is beautiful and the jacket dresses it down (black lace can be very fancy!) perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I totally agree. A dress like this is hard to wear on a daily basis since it does seem so dressy.
