Marvelously Studded Monday

Marvelous Mondays is back again. Today's challenge was studs or spikes. When I saw what this weeks challenge was I was a little unsure of what to do. I own absolutely no clothing that has studs or spikes on it. Then I remembered this Kathy Van Zeeland Belt Shopper bag-it has studs around the "belt" of the purse. I had also last month bought the studded belt from Target for $3 and decided to wear it with this  outfit-turned around backwards.

Dress: DKNY. Blazer: Torrid. Shoes: Unlisted. Purse: Kathy Van Zeeland. Necklace: Kmart. Belt: Target

The studded belt and reptile shoes really toughen this dress up. And the gold/yellow bag looks even better with it in person since the dress has little tiny yellowish spots throughout it. It almost seems like a pop of color, but really does subtly tie in.

So remember, when it comes to Mondays...Our philosophy is: Monday is nobody’s favorite day of the week, but maybe its terrible reputation is a little undeserved. We’re on a mission to make ours (and hopefully yours) a little less awful by dressing marvelously!

Don't forget to check out the other gals outfits, they are sure to be fab.

  1. You look awesome! Great outfit! And I'm so jealous of your weather; you're outside with bare legs, and here, well, that little bit of spring last week was a trick--we now have 4 inches of snow.

    1. Thanks. Don't be too jealous of the weather, because it is now pouring down right; as it is most of the time in Western Washington.

  2. Whoa, you look stunning! I love the dress and how you combined colours with the bag and shoes. I think you brought the studs theme forward and made it pretty classy and grown up, which is cool because it can skew a little teenage sometimes.

Also, I love those shoes, seriously jealous, I wish I could walk in heels. I'll have to train myself. Haha. :)

    1. Thank you so much. Walking in heels is nothing, but stack heels are definitely a bit easier than spike heels.

  4. Love that dress! And the belt goes so well I thought it was part of it at first glance. :)

    1. This dress actually came with a belt that was made out of the same material of the dress, and it actually looked kind of atrocious!
